Where does it rub
Run a finger along the inside of your shoe, where the bump sits. If the lining is worn smooth there, that is the spot doing the damage, and that is where this goes.
If the rubbing is on top of the toe rather than the side, a sleeve is the wrong answer and a wider shoe is the right one. We would rather say so.
